Tim Farron gives party members a sneak preview of tomorrow’s Party Political Broadcast

Party President Tim Farron has emailed Lib Dem members with an exclusive preview of tomorrow night’s Party Political Broadcast, with a reminder to sign the petition to fast track the Lib Dem £10,000 income tax threshold policy:

The Liberal Democrats want to give tax cuts to millions not millionaires – to put more money back in your pockets and take the poorest workers out of tax completely.

Tomorrow night you’ll have the chance to see a party political broadcast about our plans to do this.

In the meantime you can do two things:

Watch an exclusive preview of the broadcast:

Sign this petition:

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/28640

The harder we campaign and the more signatures we get, the louder our voice becomes. Help us cut taxes for working people.

Cheers,

Tim Farron MP
President of the Liberal Democrats.

You can watch the preview on YouTube and see the full version of the Party Political Broadcast tomorrow evening (Wednesday) on ITV1 at 1825, BBC1 at 1855 and (in England only) on BBC2 at 1755.

Watched, signed, and worried. It seems to depict Nick Clegg as someone without any power – not something you expect from a deputy PM, and not necessarily something that can impress an electorate. Maybe providing ammunition for Cameron and Osborne to suggest Libdems are nice but unrealistic in the present financial climate. Hopefully someone has thought this through. Looking forward, as someone who could use the extra cash, to the full version tomorrow.

  • - prompted by your comment, Richard, I watched it again.. nope, it didn’t come across to me like that. Anyway, he is not addressing you and me, but the public at large. In any case this won’t provide ammunition, Cam and Osborne already have the amassed jaundiced views of the media on their side, – at least a PPB gets around that.
