European selection results – complete

The English Party is today counting the ballot to select our candidates for the nine English Euro Regions for the 2014 Euro elections. The Scottish and Welsh Parties are running their selections separately, and their results will be announced separately.

The results are listed below. The detailed STV results will be available later and we’ll put the web link in when it is available.

Selection of European Parliamentary candidates for 2014

The English and Scottish Liberal Democrats are now inviting applications for selection for the Liberal Democrat Party lists for the English Regions and for Scotland for the next European Parliamentary elections (which take place in 2014). The formal advert has been published in Liberal Democrat News. The closing date for applications is 6 p.m. on Friday 27 July.

Potential applicants should contact the Returning Officer for the region(s) in which they are interested for an application pack. Applicants can apply for as many Regions as they wish, but must obtain a separate application pack and submit a separate application to …

Euro candidate ballots out this week

The ballot papers for the selection of the Liberal Democrats’ European Parliamentary candidates are going in the post Wednesday to Friday 10th to 12th October (in England: Wales and Scotland are using a different timetable). Delivery may unfortunately be delayed by the post office strikes – but we hope most ballot papers will arrive during the week ending 19th October.

The deadline for the return of ballot papers is Wednesday 7th November, and in light of continuing difficulties with the post members should post their ballot papers early.

London Mayor candidate selection process starts

Members who may be interested in applying can obtain an application pack, which includes an Application Form and the Selection Criteria agreed by London Region’s Candidates Committee, from London Mayor Returning Officer, c/o London Regional Office, 4 Cowley Street, London, SW1P 3NB or by phone 07956 374220 or, preferably, by email on [email protected]
