Boris Johnson, Lord Ashcroft and David Lee: Conservatives in trouble

Boris Johnson: “A senior source inside CCHQ has approached ConservativeHome to warn of “worrying drift” within the Boris Johnson [London Mayor] campaign.” (ConservativeHome)

Lord Ashcroft: “Lord Ashcroft, the multimillionaire bank-rolling the Conservatives’ controversial campaign in marginal constituencies, was last night coming under increasing pressure to explain whether he has honoured pledges, made before he received his peerage, that he would return to the UK and pay income tax.” (Guardian) 

David Lee: “The Mayor of Chelmsford has been suspended from his party after a police investigation into pornography.” (BBC)

    @FYI. Do please change the record. Alix has addressed the matter acceptably and I concur with her, Mark’s position means he can’t cover every story–this sort of thing ought to be written as an opinion piece by a contributor not an administrator. If you’re a supporter, you could ask to write it yourself?

    Regardless, how about a NAME so we can talk to you like a human being not a posing troll? I have no problem telling people who I am, and it makes conversation easier.
