Can Ken and Boris keep up with Brian?

Well, they’re going to have their work cut out – Lib Dem London mayoral candidate Brian Paddick is running this year’s London marathon, and is challenging his two opponents to pick up the gauntlet he’s laid down. Says Brian:

Running London is an extremely tough and demanding job and the Mayor needs to be mentally and physically fit. I am running the London Marathon this year and I challenge all Mayoral candidates to join me – it will be a real test of their mettle. If people vote for me on 1st May, they know I will be fit for office.”

Brian is running for three charities – the links below will send you direct to Brian’s JustGiving websites:
* Downs Syndrome Educational Trust,
* Stroke Association and
* Elton John Aids Foundation.

All three charities are very close to Brian’s heart: his father died from a stroke, his nephew suffers from Downs Syndrome and he is a keen supporter of the fight against Aids.

    I would like to announce that I officially don’t care in the slightest about whether any candidate runs the marathon. Judging by the recent polls, perhaps Paddick should put more of this time into campaigning rather than training for the marathon – yet another stupid gimmick?

    Evidently you care enough to write a post about it!

    LFRAT – What polls are you talking about? The one which polled 250 people?

    Genius. Good way to raise his profile and look tough while he’s doing it.
