Conservative nomination papers in Swansea: police make arrest

More news on the Swansea nominations paper story – the police have made an arrest:

TORY ARRESTED IN FRAUD ROW
The man at the centre of an election fraud row has been arrested.Tory Norman Whitlock has been accused of forging signatures on the nomination forms of Uplands Conservative candidate Simon Bright.

    South Wales Police are also investigating possible Election Fraud in the Landore Ward in Swansea. One woman who is down on the Tory forms doesn’t think she signed them. Another person speaks no English whatsoever and although remembers signing the forms, did not know what they were for…

    As candidate I went round all ten people (plus the one in the party who’s the DNO). Some asked me what party it was (even though I was wearing a Lib Dem rosette and the party was on the form!)…

    I think some people just think it’s a petition…
