Tory MPs Derek Conway and Nigel Waterson in trouble

  1. One of Derek Conway’s constituents is not happy. Duncan Borrowman, that is.
  2. Nigel Waterson has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his children.

Wow – just heard Duncan on the 11am news on Radio 4. Then again at noon. And then interviewed on WATO!

Conway has had the whip withdrawn.

    Anyone for a double by-election?!

Benjamin, would a person who finances his children’s studies with parliamentary allowances vacate his seat just because of the shame of losing the whip?

And why would Nigel Waterson vacate his seat, when Andrew Pelling didn’t?

Oh I realise it doesn’t always follow that Tories who are found out doing something shameful or illegal will quit but you never know your luck!

2 Tory scandals in 2 days. How confusing.

It’s a hard life being inflicted with a Tory parent. But one thing’s clear: you’d be pretty sure which of the 2 MPs you’d prefer to have as your dad ;)

Oh, I don’t know – Conway might not actually beat his son but he has made a career out of supporting legislation that directly discriminates against him.

    Big Picture, people!
