There's modelling climate change, modelling proteins for medical research, SETI (looking for aliens), trying to solve mathematical problems, analysing results of particle physics experiments... Another one is researching malaria to try and make the best use of resources to combat it in Africa. Its good to have at least a couple of projects on the go, so if one runs out of work, there are other projects to work on. There’s also other BOINC projects.
