How to show you’re a party member when you post a comment

The option to put a photo next to your comment is open to everyone. In addition, if you’re a party member you can also have this indicated when you post a comment.

It’s very simple. You just need to register for our online forum and get a username and password. Then in future before commenting, login with your username. (On most devices for accessing the internet, you can turn on the setting for your login to be remembered so you do not have to do this each time.) You will then see the party logo appearing next to your name when you post up comments.

Got the following advice from Ryan Cullen:

When you login (via the link in the comments http://www.libdemvoice.org/?ldv-comments=login&refer=27953 ) you should see a page which says something like this

[yourusername] you are now successfully logged in.
Any comments left on LibDemVoice will display your full name [yourfullname] and will be highlighted to show you are a verified party member. We will also use your forum profile website http://blog.artesea.co.uk/ to link back to your own blog/site. Whilst we won’t publish them, your membership number XXXXXXX and email address [youremailaddress] will be recorded against your comments. Your comment avatar (on the right) is different from that in the forums and is based on your email address and Gravatar.
If at any time you don’t want to publicly leave your real name, you will need to logout first.

Then when you go back to a page you should no longer have a box asking for your details but instead a line saying

Logged in as [yourusername] using the Beta Forum Login. Log out?

So now I am testing whether this has worked

  • So be logged into the forums before we post, like this?
