And another example of how CCHQ made a fool of Iain Dale

Time for a quick leaf through my leaflet files this morning and what do I find from the Conservative leaflets in the Cheadle Parliamentary by-election?

Well, let’s just say that I don’t think the CCHQ staffer who fed Iain the line about how awful it is for parties to use photos of other party’s candidates in their leaflets remembered to tell Iain what photo the Conservatives used in their Cheadle by-election literature or where it came from…

In summary:

(a) The Conservatives regularly do something in election campaigns

(b) They then try to whip up a story about how awful it is if the Liberal Democrats do the same thing

(c) Iain Dale runs the story, but fails to mention (a).

Crikey, one might even start using the word Pravda Iain 🙂 But that would be mean, and you did say nice things about two Liberal Democrat MPs on the telly last night, so I won’t.

  • Fantastically poor timing from Comical Iain.

  • It’s no wonder Iain has suddenly taken a dislike to this site 🙂

I believe we should consider the possibility that Mr Dale’s password is easy to guess and that someone from the Conservatives has been posting on his blog without him knowing about it.

This may leave Mr Dale looking a little naive on the password front, it would leave the rest of his reputation intact.

  • Everybody knows that Iain Dale is just a puppet, not a serious journalist.

  • BTW, I kind of like the idea, that Iain represents the sharpest edge of Tory blogging. 😉 If this is the best the Conservatives can do…
