Share:Labour word is that Glenrothes is a lost cause. The SNP will take it by 1500, give or take 500. I don’t detect a Brown Central attempt to prepare a “shock” win. Instead they say that had they had a few days more it might have made a difference, and that without Gordon and Sarah Brown’s personal intervention the result would be far worse. So the good news is that defeat will be masked by the Obama euphoria.

I think Labour are diliberately downplaying expectations to be honest; they secretly hope they can win but want to minimise the damage if they dont…

Oh Dear. There was never anything we could have done about third party squeeze but just like Glasgow East our vote sems to have been crushed.
Dismayed that Labour can win so easily. But I’m a unionist & dislike the SNP, so I don’t really know what to make of this, apart from the fact that it’s a bit shyte to see the LD vote so low again.
