Before those of you outside Wales get too excited… This from the BBC:
The leader of the Liberal Democrats in the Welsh assembly, Mike German, is expected to reveal this weekend whether he wants to remain in the job.
Mr German said he would “probably” announce his decision during his speech at the party’s autumn conference in Aberystwyth on Sunday. He told journalists: “I have come to a conclusion,” and that he was “99%” certain about his decision. But the AM said he would continue to listen to the views of party members.
Mr German has held the role since 1999, the year the assembly was created. He has been criticised for its election performance last May, when six Lib Dem AMs were elected for the third time in a row.
Two AMs have indicated their readiness to stand in a leadership contest, Peter Black and Eleanor Burnham.

The truth is, outside the Assembly group, no-one has a clue what Mike will say. Should be interesting.

You should also be careful about using that kind of headline when your entire party is getting such a kicking in the polls.
Going by the number of comments, as ever, it shows no-one gives a stuff.

No-one cares about Wales, hope we can make it onto the radar during my lifetime.
Unfortunately, since the BBC shamelessly sacked Sara Edwards I’ve stopped watching Wales Today on a regular basis so I wasn’t following this too closely.
I think Mike’s done a good job in the past, but it’s time for new ideas, a new direction, a new face.
