<description>As a very busy Cllr. from 7 a.m.until close of Polls there is precious time to divert eyes from our own local Euro Campaign.

My initial observations:

1.Congrats. to Bristol Council where L/D Control bodes that Labour will not do well.

2.Early predictions that the Tories will not do as well as predicted in the County Elections.

3.I sincerely hope that our discerning electorate will post Jonathan Fryer as L/D MEP in London,as he so gifted and talented, but results not counted until Sunday.Rather a long wait!

4.I detect a high turnout for the Tamil community as they appeared very focussed in the Euro Elections on what has happened to their community in Sri Lanka.I feel greatly for our local Tamil community and their civil and human rights protests in London.

5.Many people have asked why are there only 8 MEP Seats being contested in London ?

6.There seems strong evidence at the polling our stations that residents were voting to stop any BNP incursion by the back door.

7.I suggest that if the BNP achieved the threshold for 1 Seat in London Euro Elections it would be set back for race relations by decades.

We will have to now wait for all Results nationally and in London and in Somerset and Devon I hope done enough to Hold.
