More sad news

News reaches The Voice of the death of Peter Thurnham who was a Lib Dem MP for just a few months after his defection to the party in October 1996.

    That takes me back. I remember going to Rochdale to hear him speak at a rally about a week after he had defected.

    I didn’t know him at all, but I remember the excitement at the time. RIP.
