Nick Clegg: finding information on the internet

Written by Mark Pack on 20th November 2008 – 4:03 pm

Questions about Nick Clegg’s various internet presences regularly come my way, so here’s a handy quick list of the key resources:

  • www.nickclegg.com - Nick Clegg’s site for his job as leader of the Liberal Democrats, including his latest stories (which you can comment on), full text of speeches and details of his forthcoming public meetings.
  • www.nickclegg.org.uk - Nick Clegg’s site for his job as MP for Sheffield Hallam.
  • Facebook page - where you can sign up as fan of Nick Clegg and follow his work via Facebook. Nick also has a profile, though generally people are encouraged to sign up as fans rather than friends.
  • Flickr - online photo gallery of the latest photos, particularly from Nick Clegg’s regular visits around the country.
  • Selection of the latest news stories about Nick Clegg - done via the del.icio.us social bookmarking system.
  • FriendFeed - pulls together Nick’s activity from various social networking sites into one place.
  • Nick Clegg’s biography on the main party website.

Both Nick Clegg’s leader website and his Facebook page pull in content from Flickr, del.icio.us and other places, so in practice visiting one of those gets you the content that’s out there, but it can sometimes be useful to dive in direct to the original source information, such as if you are looking for a photograph to use in a leaflet.

Hint taken. Never let it be said …

On second thoughts - thinking of F. Scott Fitgerald and Dick Diver - would it be better if we became sycophants?

This reads like the sort of thing you saw a few years ago as people attempted to get higher up search engines (which have got a bit more sophisticated since)
