I think the Green Tax Switch campaign nationally was a good message, but we&#039;ve fallen back from promoting it at a local level (at least, here in Cambridge).  In fact, we&#039;ve got some hard questions to answer... such as: did the names Nick Clegg and Vince Cable feature even once in our election leaflets and papers?

I think we&#039;ve got a great body of policy nationally, but we don&#039;t take the opportunity to link issues to national policy in our local campaigning.

This country, by now, and given our resources on the ground, should be able to say &quot;the LibDems want to tax pollution, not people; wealth, not work.&quot;</description>

Our tax shifting agenda (from productive work to wealth and waste) is without doubt the right way to go. I just wish our party&#039;s leadership would grasp the overwhelming logic of this in relation to the supposedly sacred cow of LIT - and start sharpening the knife.</description>
