Pinch yourself, this really is true. First, John McCain features Paris Hilton in a TV advert attacking his rival for the US Presidency, Barack Obama. And then Paris Hilton responds by producing her own spoof ad about the super-old white-haired dude.
I’m not sure it helps the Obama campaign that the changes to his energy policy no mean it can be described as “similar to the one advocated by Paris Hilton…”

Not a very funny spoof. But never mind.
Cunning work by the McCain campaign.
I don’t think she’s hot, but if she’s an independent in the USA then she’s just gone up in my estimation.
K – whaaat?

I gotta disagree with Chris Keating. I began cracking up around about “with strict environmental oversight…”
I’ve just blogged some more thoughts about the impact of this and why Paris Hilton should just shut up

Chris has it spot on I think – this just gives the Obama-as-celebrity idea more legs and makes it last longer as a story.
I’m with Douglas, it was hilarious!
everyone in the US has heard mccain called the wrinkly guy from the olden days, and obama the change guy, and you think this is bad for obama?
hilarious, and good sense too!
Finally got around to watching this. I’m in the “It’s actually quite funny” camp.
It was ok – I was particularly chuffed to hear “I’m Paris Hilton, and I approved this message.”
