PPC News: Edinburgh West & Bexhill and Battle

Congratulations to John Barrett MP, re-selected to fight the seat next time round, and also to Mary Varrall who has been selected to take another shot at Bexhill and Battle.

    I was just double-checking for myself that I knew who Greg Barker was, and found this odd press-release on his site.

    Mary Varrall didn’t cover herself with glory with some of these comments. Actually in particular the “So who is this man? Probably, not the one that many thought” part really looked as an opportunistic attempt to use his outing by the press

    She could have limited herself to criticize his voting record (and so his potential hypocrisy), but she decided to go further than it.

    I doubt she has put out the same statement to complain that Mark Oaten wasn’t honest in his election literature because he didn’t include a “pooing here” slogan (delate it if you want).

    I think LD blogger Stephen Tall had a good blog entry about it when it happened.
