Conservative councillors and the brothel: David Bourne has now resigned from the council cabinet and from the Conservative Party. Whether or not his wife, Carol, has also resigned is not known.

Council questions people without children in local park: this story has now hit the national media, including Metro and Telegraph.

    Metro isn’t national media – it’s a piss-poor excuse for a local paper that happens to cover a city instead of three villages and a motorway junction.

    Most of what is in the Metro though is the same across the country and as it covers most big cities now it is a large chunk of the population. Only the listings, reviews and job ads that are local.

    Or as someone once described it to me “the Metro – yesterday’s news today”
