The Guardian: “Labour slumps in council byelections”

Congratulations to new Councillor, Sharon Wilson, who scored what the Guardian are calling a “landslide victory” in Poulton North, Warrington Borough. This result is a gain for the party, and a crushing defeat for Labour in that area.

You’ll find a Guardian write-up here, and the party’s view is here.

Congratulations to Warrington Lib Dems. Just over ten years ago we were way behind Labour and they ruled the place with incredible arrogance. It is brilliant to see the major breakthrough that has happened throughout the district. More power to Ian Marks, David Earl and all my not so old friends there.
