Swings and roundabouts for the other parties in yesterday’s council by-elections: UKIP gain from Labour in Rotherham, Labour gain from Conservatives in Weymouth, Conservative gain from Lib Dem in Somerset.
Combined with separate polling from yougov, ICM, Mori and BMRB putting Lib Dems in a solid 4th place (with 7-11% and the Greens catching up), this has not been a great week.
