There’s no prize at stake – just the opportunity to prove you’re wittier than any other LDV reader …

nick and vince

Here’s the Lib Dem leadership duumvirate of Nick Clegg and Vince Cable – what do you think they might be saying to each other, or thinking about each other?

Is Nick saying, “Surely this photo is so boring they couldn’t possibly use it for the caption competition”?

And is Vince replying, “I wouldn’t be too sure”?

    Nick is saying:

“Can I look now, has that idiot with the camera gone?

  • Vince: Well Nick, as you know I’m mostly right on everything so i don’t really need to consult people on what our policy is going to be in this.

Nick: Yes that’s right Vince, whatever you say. Can I go and be incredibly pious about something now?

    Nick: Ohhh, Vince….

Vince: I think you’d better leave now. Where were we Nicky…

  • Nick: “Nicholas Van Hoogstraten wears purple because he considers himself royalty.”

Vince: “I’m being measured up for the crown next week.”

  • Nick is caught getting Vince to check his Maths homework.

  • Nick: “The pink suits you, Vince.”

Vince: “Not as much as the blue suits you, Nick!”

  • “So you see, Nick, a real trouper writes all his own scripts. But remember I’ve already used the Mr Bean gag.”
