Top of the Blogs: The Golden Dozen #20

Welcome to the 20th of our weekly round-ups from the Lib Dem blogosphere, featuring the seven most popular stories according to click-throughs from the Aggregator (1st – 7th July), together with a hand-picked quintet you might otherwise have missed.

Your regular host, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Oxford, is occupied this weekend, so it’s my pleasure to present the seven most popular clicks of the week:

1. Susan Lamido: Something of an apology from Mark Valladares’ Liberal Bureaucracy blog.
Mark writes about long-term blogger Susanne Lamido. Only a post about The Darbyshires could have generated more interest.

2. Tory Ealing Southall campaign all front? asked James Graham’s Quauequam! blog.
“If the Tories were serious about this campaign, they would be spending less time producing bizarre videos and more time producing decent election literature”

3. Lib Dem Leadership Vacuum thinks Letters From Letterman
A short post, but a snappy title I guess.

4. Conservative activist says: we must lie in Ealing Southall by Mark Pack at Lib Dem Voice.
Mark demonstrates the miracle of cut-and-paste.

5. LibDems up one point to 18n Times poll – let’s keep our hair on! says hairy Paul Walter, on Liberal Burblings
Chris Huhne leadership supporter Paul tells Norfolk Blogger Nich (see #7 below) why he shouldn’t “make mountains out of molehills” regarding Ming’s performance.

6. Bizarre poster claims from the Tories… from Chris Keating’s diary
The stakeboard manager of the Bromley campaign stamps out silly rumours.

7. Why I regret supporting Ming by Nich Starling, the Norfolk Blogger
“In recent weeks we have seen just how much Ming’s judgement has been out of touch,” he said.

And here’s another five well worth reading (if you haven’t already):

8. Pauline Neville Jones- An Apology on Cicero’s Songs
The second apology of the Lib Dem blogosphere’s week. Sort of.

9. Me v David Dimbleby on Jonny Wright’s Hug A Hoodie blog
Jonny was short-listed to be the youth panelist on Question Time’s special edition this week, but despite not making the cut has video of his audition.

10. 44 Scotland Street on Hot Ginger and Dynamite
A book review, from a Lib Dem-spotting perspective.

11. The Ealing Southall Diaries on David Nikel’s blog
In a continuing series, David charts his adventures in Southall. This is partly a gratuitous inclusion as we spent many hours delivering together this week, but it’s also my favourite ‘by-election diary’ of the week, except for…

12. I’m in Ealing on Pink Dog’s blog
Where the two biggest celebrities of the Lib Dem blogosphere meet (for the first time?).

And that’s our twentieth dozen.

* Richard Huzzey is not Stephen Tall.
