I think the majority of my readership are not Lib Dems and therefore don't tend to link through from Lib Dem blogs. Most of my link throughs are due to the almost incestuous nature of the Scottish blogosphere, where we tend to link across parties to the other political blogs.

However, I'm pleased that one post of mine makes #72 plus a number of other round ups.

Adrian, Jo is right. I don't click through to your blog from LDB because I have already it on my feed reader. I use LDB to see if I have missed anything of interest on the blogs I haven't added - some of these are new blogs, and some are ones I have consciously chosen not to add.

If you're really popular, nobody will be clicking through from LDB because they'll be reading your blog anyway.

I think the list favours those who aren't always on top form...then readers really notice when they write a post of true interest (in the first seven posts - but not true of the second part).

Also I know it must be hard blogging as an elected rep as there are limits to what you can and can't say...

Adrian

Our measure is purely - how many people come to your blog from www.LibDemBlogs.co.uk

Yes, it's abitrary, but it's easy to measure.

Pure readership alone would be much harder to figure out.

So encourage loads of people to click on one post on LDB and see where we go from there.

Do you have some html code like the Featured on Liberal Democrat Voice logo that I could use saying: Never Featured On Liberal Democrat Voice! It's not that people aren't reading my blogs - I average 500 reads a post - so what do I need to do to get featured?
