Julian is right about big biz being rent seekers. The problem we're facing as a party is that the political rent is with those who have appropriated far too much "land" in the Commons. Both tend to seek rent and see government as the solution to everything - or at least the provider of what they're personally after. Half are <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootleggers_and_Baptists" rel="nofollow">bootleggers</a>, the other bandits. This is even more the case with regards to <a href="http://www.libdemvoice.org/business-welcome-for-cleggs-government-bank-proposal-6128.html" rel="nofollow">this post</a>.
