What about using the Ryanair model for council tax? "Council tax only £1 - plus £20 collection fee, £100 residential permit, £50 permission to walk on the pavement, £25 road charges, price varies based on your house..." Or, after the completion of major works, will there be a loudspeaker system broadcasting a fanfare with "That's another school/swimming pool/sport centre completed on time by Barnet Council"? Any other thoughts? I wondered exactly what other of Ryanair’s practices they might copy….
