Very encouraging to hear Nick Clegg talking about flexible working as a right for parents. Hitherto the party has only talked about the right to request flexible working - for most men these requests are turned down by employers.

Will this passion extend to allowing family friendly working for the Lib Dems' own staff, elected representatives and volunteers? I somehow doubt it!
