If there was ever a time when a party struggling in the polls needed its leader to be at the top of his game, this was it. And Nick Clegg smashed it. A passionate, rousing speech that would give any liberal goosebumps, talking about breaking down barriers for people, how people could have both a fairer society and a stronger economy.
