Attention local party officers!

Just a quick reminder to the good people out there running Lib Dem local parties that the deadline for returning forms to HQ detailing next years officers, conference reps and regional conference reps is fast approaching.

The forms were sent to local party officers earlier in the year, and have to be back by the 15th December. What with Christmas posting times, if you haven’t done yours already, please sit down and do it right now! (I know I am!)

Once all the forms are received in Cowley Street, the next mammoth job begins. The thousands of changes need to be recorded in the central database by a small army of volunteers. Just Officers and Conference Reps are some 6,500 pieces of data, each of which needs to be changed manually.

Late forms do genuinely create problems for the poor administrators. They can delay mailings and inconvenience your conference reps. If you have new blood amongst your team, you put your brand new officers and representatives at a disadvantage if HQ can’t mail them quickly enough with conference details.

If you can help input the data by turning up in Westminster with your willing typing fingers, or if you need to check whether your local party has got its forms in, you can e-mail [email protected] or phone the switchboard in Cowley Street on 020 7222 7999.
