Stephen Tall, formerly of this parish, has honoured the pledge he made to run naked down Whitehall if the Liberal Democrats were reduced to 24 seats.
This is what happens, kids, if you make a daft pledge on TV. You've been warned. http://t.co/r5SWfRmCCT pic.twitter.com/LYn5ob33St

In doing so he has raised, at the time of writing, £7,200 for Medecins sans Frontieres. If you haven’t donated already, please do, it is a very good cause, and would show your appreciation for Stephen’s barefaced cheek(s).
Think @stephentall deserves a #DannysWalks and £££ to charity for honouring his wager https://t.co/RqgmuQmpDg pic.twitter.com/Ay5W95MeNh

Thanks, General. Good to see at least one member of the crowd was unphased.

Lol! This is funny. Well done Stephen!
Has Dan Hodges doen his run yet?
Well done! Legend!!!!
Stephen Tall is my favourite Lib Dem 🙂
We should thank former editor of the Sun Kelvin Mackenzie for offering a £5,000 contribution. I wouldn’t claim to be a fan of his but it’s good that someone in his position goaded Stephen on a television programme to fulfill this promise and in doing so, raised a good sum for charity! I’d better make a little contribution myself, having said that…
At time of posting, another £175 would get Stephen to £8000. £1000 over target. Let’s hope the total gets another boost when they show it on the Daily Politics. How amazing would it be if us lot matched Kelvin Mackenzie’s £5k? Here’s the link again in case you need it. https://www.justgiving.com/stephentall/. You can also have a read of the list of donors and play spot the journalist. A fair few political commentators have donated. Let’s remember the cause at the heart of all of this – Medecins sans frontiers who do so much good over the world and whose people put themselves in great danger to help others. We saw that only too clearly a week ago on Saturday with the Kunduz hospital bombing.
I had rather thought that they would film this on a Sunday morning when nobody was about and not on a Tuesday afternoon approaching the rush hour. Well done to Stephen. He has been getting some ribbing about this amongst the LDV team as you can imagine and he has borne it all with the most gracious of humour.
Someone should tell Mr Tall that thighs ain’t everything 🙂
Thanks, everyone, for your support – much appreciated! The run will be shown on BBC’s Daily Politics today, Wednesday. And as Caron says, donations to Médecins Sans Frontières (UK) still welcome: https://www.justgiving.com/stephentall/
Top job Stephen!
