Do you want to see Ed Davey do a sky dive?

He has rashly pledged that he will do a sky dive if his Christmas single with the Bath Philharmonia Young Carers’ Choir gets at least 10,000 downloads next week.

“Love is Enough” can be downloaded here. You all know what to do…

    No.

Charity events and politics can be a difficult combination. I have broadly welcomed Ed’s stunts linked to Policy issues. This would be similar and I guess I would back it for the same reasons.
Like most good things it is possible to have too much. Isn’t it? Need to know how much is too much.

Personally, after sixty years experience of campaigning, my response is that enough is enough. Judging by the audience reaction last night towards said Leader, on “Have I got news for you” last night, there comes a point when people stop laughing with you and start laughing at you. To appear on the programme last night was, as Sir Humphrey might have said to Sir Edward, a brave decision.

The sky dive thing might be a step too far. I don’t want him to hurt himself! I downloaded it right at the start so don’t have this dilemma.

On balance though every download raises money for young carers and Sky dives are relatively safe so go for it!
