Download now: Lib Dem Autumn 2013 Conference app

LDConf appWe are delighted to announce that our Autumn Conference App is now available for download. The Conference App is an supplement to the Conference Agenda, Directory and Training Guide.

My two favourite features on the App are:

  • My Schedule: add fringe events, auditorium sessions and training to an electronic diary.
  • Business Card : swap your contact information with other attendees in seconds.

We do understand there were a few issues with the App at Spring Conference due to the lack of WiFi and poor mobile signal. There will be complimentary WiFi in the SECC but we do advise to download the App before you come to Conference.

To download the App, search ‘Lib Dem Conf’ in the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android).

For Blackberry and Windows Phone we have a web app which can be viewed on your phone’s internet browser by visiting www.libdemconference.org.uk.

We look forward to seeing you in Bonnie Scotland!

I really like the App, unfortunately twice I’ve added items to my schedule but when I exit the App the data disappears. Also I can’t find out how to add in the Q&A sessions that are not in the main auditorium.

At the risk of sounding pedantic (as if I’m ever anything else), why does it say “If you are a registered delegate”, when everyone knows we are representatives, not delegates?

  • very impressive. I’ve never had an app till yesterday when I got facebook, and just got my ipad mini last week.
So you will be expecting a “how do I” !
I was so pleased I actually got it, and could move around, and now the
    but.
I put 2 events in, but if I go out and back in again, there is nothing there. me, or a glitch ?
then I cannot work out how to put in something not in the agenda or directory
then I do not know how to use the barcode scanner for my “card”. I used “I” and hovered over the card, but nothing seemed to happen.
maybe other people brighter and more experienced than me have sussed all this out – so can you tell me please. Is there a guide somewhere that explains these things ? I really want to know as I can see the potential is brilliant 🙂

  • As mentioned twice above, on Apple iPad My Schedule does not save meetings once you log out.

    On Android this works fine.

So it is a glitch with the Apple app, but not the Android version.

Can this be fixed with an update?

    Thanks

BTW Alisdair, They use a template which is used for many conferences, so I suspect “delegate” is the norm and hasn’t been changed.

yup, a schedule that dissapears when you log out is pretty pointless – is anybody sorting an update?

  • Lewis emailed me this morning to say that they have asked the programmers to correct the Apple My Schedule bug.

  • Elaine Woodard 12th Sep '13 - 12:40pm

Yes, I had a message that said they hoped to get it sorted before conference!

just updated the app and it seems ok now
