We seem to be gaining seats in a number of local councils – Wokingham (+3), Tunbridge Wells (+4), Gloucester (+3), Devon (+2) – and we held all our seats in Watford.
And here’s a cheering result. Well done to colleagues in Wiltshire.
Liberal Democrats win 27 seats in Wiltshire. Up 6 following gains from the Conservatives.#LibDemWin #ElectionResults2021 pic.twitter.com/jotroWaY2g

And on Surrey County Council our representation from Waverley has increased from 1 to 4. Congratulations to Penny Rivers, John Robini, Liz Townsend and Paul Follows.
And what about this …
Tory Leader of Hertfordshire council has just lost their Harpenden seat to a LD. After three recounts. Amazing. And in other news not far away we’ve also taken control of Amersham Town council. Positive for the by-election.

No comment on the performance in Wiltshire?
Thanks, @Ian Thorn. It’s up there now.
And the Amersham success is control from no seats before.
20 more votes would have won 3 more seats in Lancashire!
(I do, a very long time ago, have the agents t-shirt of having lost a County Council division in Lancaster by 3 votes!)
