Free to good home – a Liberal treasure from 1969

From a correspondent:

I have been having a clear-out of my shelves, and among the material which I am not going to keep is three issues of New Outlook – A Liberal Magazine from 1969. They may be of interest to some readers of LibDem Voice (not least, perhaps, for the nostalgic pleasure of reading thoughtful and respectful pieces from Conservative MPs John Biffen and John Hunt).
Free to a good home.

People might also be interested in some of the Liberal content which is most of the magazine.
If anyone is interested in copies through to the 80s, let me know: [email protected] (former editor).

As another former editor (one edition only), I also have a reasonable collection and would be very pleased if it found a home. Christopher Layton who was a long-standing editor (and candidate for Chippenham) lived next door to my brother in Tavistock until he died last year.

I gave a lot of papers about Standing Committee meetings in the 1970s etc. to the LSE Library some years ago, which has been assembling a collection on political parties. It might be worthwhile checking whether they have a full set of New Outlook. We still have a lot of old policy papers etc. in our garage – not sure what to do with them if and when we downsize?
