Sitting at my computer, the breaking news of the Government’s win on the 42 day detention vote comes through to me via Twitter.

  • The dup wouldn’t have mattered if the 14 tory mps hadn’t voted with the government.

Not just the DUP but it was reported that even wavering Labour M.P.s were bribed into voting for 42 days. Bribed by the promise of getting things done for their electorates that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

    Is this democracy, UK style?

  • We have a Prime Minister who cannot even get his own legislation through without having to spend taxpayers’ money buying people left, right and centre. One question: if he spent all the spare cash on a botched reversal of the 10p disaster, where’s this money coming from?

Oh well.. that will make the Liberty bar chart even more impressive.

I’m absolutely disgusted. It seems the majority of our MPs care nothing about protecting our freedoms or rights.

Any chance that this will get killed in the lords?

How about we get Gordon arrested and locked in a cell for 6 weeks without charge.

We could (rightly) accuse him of supporting terrorism, to-whit creating the unjust and totalitarian society that the terrorist aim to bring about with their acts of terror. The police could then arrest him while they spend 42 days going through all the documents/computers in Downing Street, Labour headquarters etc.

This bill is another win for terrorists.
