… because I’ve nothing really to add to Alex’s excellent piece, other than to say, “Oh dear BBC, you really did get your story horribly wrong, didn’t you?”

  • They just saw Guido’s article, and didn’t even bother to follow his link to LDV to find out what was the reference to Grant Shapps about before jumping in conclusions. That’s quality journalism and value for you tax money.

  • James is quite right that the BBC make Winston Smith style changes to stories when they get something wrong. What’s more they do that then don’t actually thank the person who pointed out the error to them in the first place!
