The European Investment Bank has put over £2.9 billion into British hospitals. A valuable resource we lose if we go ahead with this madness.

    Surely this is classed as some of the money we get back from the EU so we are really funding it ourselves plus a bureaucratic overhead to pay for for the EU civil servants?

  • Generally I don’t think EU funds should be being used for member states’ healthcare systems. I guess with the exception of a Research & Development remit and maybe ad hoc public health issues. But a member state’s healthcare system should for the main be the concern (and therefore financial responsibility) of the member state alone

  • And there is a half completed hospital down the road in central Liverpool. There are major efforts being made to find a way to get it finished after the collapse of the builder. Is it not time to face reality and add the U.K. to lists of E.U. problem countries?
