Number of votes cast in Lib Dem Voice’s poll on how long detention without charge should be allowed: 447
Number of votes cast in LabourHome’s poll on how long detention without charge should be allowed: 104
Exit stage left chanting, “Our poll is bigger than your poll, na na na. Our poll is bigger than your poll, na na na.” Etc.

Oh Mark, I’m very pleased for you. Could your sense of perspective be indicative of why your party resides in seemingly permanent opposition, once every four years, jumping up to the table of government in case a scrap of PR should be available?
Here’s a poll I’d like to see you run, “How many LibDems would leave the part in the event of a coaliation with the Tories, How many in the event of a coalition with Labour? How many in the event of a coaliation that failed to deliver PR? How many LibDems would be happy to have a Tory coalition on the promise of PR?
And then perhaps a general debate. Liberals are yellow tories: discuss.
I think PR is important. very important. But I wouldnt screw the poor for four years to get it.
Would you?
Would Clegg?
The result of the Archbishop poll is VOID- he did not say there should be parallel legal systems a point which he made clear in his original speech.
Anyway Sharia (which is not a uniform code) already enjoys some legal recognition, note the number of Halal butchers in Britain.
Oh Alex, what an overly serious comment 🙂
I’m hugely worried by anyone who takes that posting with any degree of seriousness!
indeed, while I stand by the sentiment (if not the spelling), you have to take into account the very late and very drunk nature of the commenter. I’m rather pleased with the achieved level of coherence under the circumstances
I thought you lot were trying to stop binge drinking.
