I thought our MPs were more clued on about tech.
Have they even tried tracking someone? For your location to be update the app needs to be running, so as soon as you switch the phone off and switch it back on the app is no longer running. Also most phones can’t run much, so doing something like sending a text or surfing the web will close Google Maps.
Bizarre. Do they worry about people voluntarily of their own free will doing other things?
