Is this the explanation for Labour’s plunging poll figures?

A poll in today’s Financial Times suggests that:

Gordon Brown is less trusted to steer his country through the global financial crisis than any other major western European leader… 68 per cent of respondents said they were “not confident at all” in [the Government’s] ability to deal with the economic crisis.”.

Do LDV believe that this sentiment among the poll sucking public is reasonable? And if not (for not it has to be) temporary?

Not sentiment based on any evidence. And asked whether they had personally felt any pain from the supposed dystopia 80% I believe said they had not.

Sentiment vs experience. LDV lead with the sentiment like the partisan press.
