Sad news about Roger Reeves

Andrew and RogerIt’s just over two years since our much loved Scottish (and formerly London) Director of Campaigns Andrew Reeves died very suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 43.

Very sadly, his husband Roger died last month, also at the age of 43, and his funeral was held today in Edinburgh.

I only realised today that some people didn’t know although several of us had tried to tell as many people as possible, so I thought I should put the news on here. Sorry if we hadn’t been in touch with you before.

It’s less than two and a half years since many of us enjoyed such a happy time at Andrew and Roger’s wedding. I could scarcely believe that I was heading out to the second of their funerals. They were both lovely, kind, outrageously funny and fabulous guys and the world is much poorer without them. Life can be very cruel.

The sympathies of the Liberal Democrat Voice team go to Roger’s sister Maxine and his many friends.
