Good news! Conservative London Assembly member Brian Coleman has cut his taxi bill by a fifth.
Bad news! He’s still racking up over £8,000 a year in taxi fares that Londoners then have to pay for.
P.S. He also gets a free travelcard.
P.P.S. Average taxi bill run up by other London Assembly members in the same period: £685.

Mmm… I think there must be something very special about Conservatives; something truly amazing, because it beats me how anyone can have at least two £10 taxi fares every single day of the YEAR, and to be able to justify it.
If that were a LibDem, I’d be calling for them to be ejected from the party.
The BBC report includes this!:
“His expense claim included a taxi bill of £656 in just one day last December, during which kept a cab waiting two-and-a-half hours.”
Vote Blue – Go by Taxi
And his expenses from Barnet Council, LFEEPA and the North London Waste Authority
This is totally outrageous – really big news. I hope the London party are preparing standard template attacking this for distribution to all the London Boroughs…
If I was Cameron I would tell this geezer to publicly announce he was paying back £7,500 of it.

Brian Coleman has to take taxis everywhere. He is scared of London.
