Video: Obama’s hilarious White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech

Sad that there’s only one of these left now. He really is a class act and he knows how to laugh at himself. Enjoy.

My favourite was the one about his friend who used to make millions of dollars and is know living out of a van in Iowa.

If you don’t have time to sit through the whole 20 minutes, here are some highlights:

I laughed into my coffee when he said “Biden and I have gotten so close there are some places in Indiana that won’t serve us Pizza anymore”.

Also the anger translator saying “Hilliary is going to get all that money! She is going to get all the moneyyy!”

You shouldn’t tease us with politics jokes! 😀

Lots of genuinely funny lines, sparkling wit, expert delivery, comic timing… this guy’s got a bright future as a public speaker 😉

In similar vein, YouTube has the speeches from Obama and John McCain – taking a break from hostilities on the campaign trail – at the Al Smith memorial dinner back in 2008: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pq4zrOoHXeg

Maybe that’s what we need to break the deadlock over here… It would certainly be more illuminating than most of the stuff the parties have served up so far!
