    It was difficult to see exactly what happened watching it in TV but we should express solidarity with Wera about the way she was treated during Local Government questions in the Commons a few days ago. She appeared to be getting some nasty mockery for her accent, or at least for making a passionate intervention on another speech. From where I was sitting (admittedly on my sofa) it did not look pretty.
