Weirdest comment by a mainstream politician so far

The prize surely goes to Richard Ali, Conservative candidate for Burnley:

I’ve got balls and I know how to use them.

The comment was made at a local student hustings.

  • Is that quote accurate? Are you sure his opening words weren’t “I talk b………..”???

  • And put into print in his own words in the local paper (it might have been understandable as a verbal slip in a speech!)
