Well, there may be no Lib Dem parliamentarian on tonight’s BBC Question Time (BBC1 and online, 10.35 pm GMT), but there is a well-known supporter, musician Brian Eno, formerly of Roxy Music star and an adviser to Nick Clegg.
Brian will be appearing on the panel alongside the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice Jack Straw, Conservative shadow security minister Dame Pauline Neville-Jones, the leader of the UK Independence Party Nigel Farage, and playwright and critic Bonnie Greer.
They will, doubtless be discussing the implications of this week’s historic US election vote, and doubtless picking over the entrails of the current economic crisis. If you’re tuning in to watch, remember: don’t get angry, get commenting.

Hold up, did I just hear Dame Pauline right? It seems a rather unfortunate choice of terminology?
Don’t tease, Andrew – what did she say? (Had switched to Newsnight).
What th ehell is up with Jack Straw this evening? Waffling, stumbling over his words, abjectly failing to nail his points. Watching him here it seems unbelievable that he could have been touted as a potential Prime Minister.
QT always reminds me that Nigel Farage is an intelligent, talented politician… until someone mentions Europe when his eyes instantly swivel.
She appeared to me (not listening that carefully) to refer to the president elect of the United States as ‘a black’; am I being a bit hyper-PC if I see her comment as casually derogatory?
Jack Straw is doing a better job than last time when he alluded anyone against government totalitarianism was a terrorist sympathiser. He seems like he’s has issues with Labour’s many flaws and, pushed a bit more, isn’t that far from distancing himself completely and being another Claire Short!
The London audience isn’t up to much is it? Brian Eno’s far more eloquent than I thought he’d be – could actually be a future MP?
It makes me angry seeing that man going about politicians who don’t introduce change, then went on about not curbing free market. Cue massive applause by the audience. But we’ve been saying that we need greater regulations on the city but they still go on and vote conservative. God damn it!
Yeah Nigel Farage is a really good politican, great speaker and communicator. Its shame he’s with the freaks and anti-eu geeks in ukip.
He is massively unpopular though; even Jack gets louder applause!
How the hell do UKIP get a Parliamentarian on QT but not the Lib Dems?
Thanks y’all for keeping me in touch with QT while I’m out of the country!
Isn’t LDV fab?
Was that Colin McFarlane in the audience?

“How the hell do UKIP get a Parliamentarian on QT but not the Lib Dems?”
When inviting Farage, Lucas or Lambert QT tick both their “fringe party” and “MEP” boxes at once which is why LD, Con and Labour MEPs are extremely rare on the programme.
Yeah I noticed Dame Pauline Neville-Jones’s comment too and thought it was a ridiculous thing to say on national TV. I don’t think this is un-PC or over-sensitive in the slightest as it is a derogatary term which shouldn’t be used any more – not least by members of political parties. Surprised it wasn’t commented on, but you could feel the awkward pause as people realised what she’d said.
4:33 on iPlayer if anyone wants to see and decide for themselves!
