There’s a short-list of five to take over from Jeremy Browne as the Lib Dem candidate for Taunton Deane, according to the BBC:

The successful candidate will be defending a majority of 3,993 over the Conservatives.

This is going to be a very difficult contest, but if the successful candidate does hold the seat next May it should really be classed not as a a ‘hold’ but as a ‘ Liberal Democrat gain from conservative!’

Justine Baker has I think already been selected as candidate for Bridgwater. Is it within the party rules for her to apply for another seat at the same time as already being a prospective PPC?
