I can sum this video up quite simply:
“LOOK! OVER THERE! CLUSTER BOMBS! BOO! (oh and keep our options on Trident open) CLUSTER BOMBS – WE’RE AGAINST THEM!”
Seriously, how can you claim there is a moral case for banning cluster bombs, while accepting the moral case for keeping nuclear weapons?
If I had to choose, I’d rather lose a leg than my entire civilization.
Just a thought.
There is a big difference as I see it.
Cluster bombs are being used all over the world now as a normal part of warfare – and they shouldn’t be.
Nuclear weapons aren’t.
Was wondering if anyone thought the UN could charge the manufactures of Cluster weapons for the cost of clearing up after their use. Sort of polluter pays principle .
