This video was made at Autumn Conference in Bournemouth. In it, activists, some of whom are also parliamentarians, talk about why they think Britain should stay in the EU. How many can you recognise?
It was great to see so many young people taking part in this.
The Liberal Democrats will be making a positive case for staying in the EU. While critical of many of its structures, the net benefits, we’ll argue, are clear. If you want to get involved with a campaign that will be a joy to work on, with messages that you can feel confident in distributing, you can find out more here.

A very positive video, perhaps too positive. It ticked all the right boxes. HOWEVER, if you are going to convince the waverers and even convert some of the doubters you really MUST acknowledge that not everything is perfect in the European garden.
I am sure that many European member states are viewing our renegotiation bid rather like many Tories viewed the challenge to Lady Thatcher’s leadership by Sir Antony Meyer, as a kind of stalking horse to a monolithic dirigiste system of governance which is failing to cope with changes following the fall of communism, the rise of Islamic fundamentalism and the every increasing spread of globalisation.
I don’t want the Lib Dems to lead any campaign to stay in the EU. I want them to join with like minded Tories, Labour, and Greens in forming ONE campaign. As I have said before, no party should seek to gain electorally from what is something that will point our country’s direction of travel for several generations to come.
Has no one noticed that Alistair Carmichael was said why we should stay in the UK? Good video for conference and lib dem activists not for anywhere else.
Not very racially-diverse it is? 2 out of 33 talking heads (slotted in at the end, numbers 28 and 30). A wrote on this site a few months ago warning that the ‘In’ campaign must not repeat the mistakes of ‘AV’ and ignore BAME communities.
