Is it not the 7th that nominations close?
Thanks Richard – I’ve made clearer the distinction between close of nominations and actual election in the text (one is 7th other is 17th) and also fixed the headline.
Just a thought – if the Chair of FFAC is registered as the party treasurer, why is there a second election for a party treasurer? I’m sure there’s a good reason (workload?) but just a bit confused…
KL: In brief, “treasurer” can mean one of two things – look after the books or raise money. Under the law, our registered treasurer has the former role (and so it’s the chair of the FFAC), but we also have someone else who does the latter.
