Jade Holden is on Twitter at @jade_elizabeth and Sophie Bridger is on the Exec as Scotland Convenor (elected seperately by LYS) @SophieBridger
So Liberal Youth have Chairs for the West and East Midlands but nothing for London, Yorkshire or the East of England?
Simon, no one stood to be the regional chair for the London region. There was a constitutional amendment to the last Liberal Youth conference in Bristol a few months ago which set up the regional chair system, which was proposed by the current national chair (Martin Shapland). There is no Yorkshire or East of England region – Yorkshire is included in the North East and the East of England is included in the South East (or the East Midlands, I guess).
As it says in Helen’s original post, soon there there will be an invitation for people to put themselves forward for the vacancies listed above. I imagine the new executive will vote to appoint from those who put themselves forward.
Chris
Thanks James, I’ve added Jade and Sophie now.
Really looking forward to working with party officers, members, and activists to get some useful work and support done – the fight to survive and grow in 2015 may not have much to do with a students and u25s SAO, but where we can help I’m all ears.
Seems odd to have an East and West Midlands region if you are putting together all of the South East (minus London) and everything from the Humber to the Tees.
I’m confused. Why is there a Regional Chair for Scottish Highlands, one for Scottish Lowlands, and another for Liberal Youth Scotland?
@Keith: The Liberal Democrats are a Federal Party. Regions and nations are distinct things.
